Lawrence Joseph “Larry” Swartz Usilton was born on the 25th of August 1966 to parents who were not equipped emotionally or financially to care for him. His birth mother was a drifter, and his father was a pimp, and both were just teenagers when Larry arrived into their world. His first few months of life were tumultuous, to say the least. Just before he was two years old, his parents abandoned him at an apartment complex in Silver Spring, Maryland. He was discovered in squalid conditions, dirty and hungry and handed over into the care of the foster system.
