Airplane Fight Breaks Out After Ex Military Major Shoves Toddler
On February 11th, 2024, Officers with the Orlando police department responded to a battery call at Orlando international airport. The caller stated that after she boarded the aircraft with her three children with age ranges from 3 to 6 years old, a passenger attempting to pass her in the cabin began getting angry while the mother was trying to strap in one of her children. The woman, later identified as Jane Stephens, told the child to move out of the way and pushed him. The Mother immediately told the woman to not touch her child. The suspect then got in the woman’s face screaming at her, then pulled her hair. The mother then punched Jane in the mouth knocking her tooth out in attempt to stop her from assaulting her, or her children any further.
She was then transported inside the orange county jail where she was booked and charged with, Battery on a Law enforcement Officer, Resisting Officers with violence, Battery for Pulling the woman’s Hair on the plane, Assault on a law enforcement Officer, and resisting officers without violence. For Battery on a law enforcement officer she was Sentenced to 2 days in jail and 3 years probation, The judge also ordered that she write an apology letter to the arresting officers and do 75 hours of community service. for resisting officers with violence, she was sentenced to another 2 days in jail and another 3 years probation. and for battery she was sentenced to another 2 days in jail following a year of probation. It should be noted that these charges run concurrent, so she will spend a total of 2 days in jail and 3 years probation.
